Bird in Hand

We especially love this cake topper.

Charmed by Cocoa Crayon

We paid a long overdue to one of our favorite online shops the other day - Cocoa Crayon and were excited to see that they had been hard at work developing their own products, in addition to the great selection they already offer. And imagine our delight when we saw Silhouettes.

They're featuring both charm necklaces and bracelets in your choice of gold or silver, and they have an assortment of charms from rubber duckies to pacifiers to silhouettes.

And to top it off, 25% percent of the profits will be donated to children's charities.

Boy Meets Girl

I first discovered Boy Meets Girl a few years ago when I saw one of their great logo t-shirts on a mom at my son's swimming lessons. They've really expanded their collection these days, but still feature these silhouettes on most of their pieces, such as this tunic

and this polo with the embroidered Boy Meets Girl logo.

You can find these items and many more here.

Storybook Silhouettes, an Artisan Crafted Quilt

One of our very favorite shopping sites is Mahar Dry Goods, and of course, our favorite product of theirs (although it is so hard to pick just one) has to be this gorgeous artisan quilt: Here are the details about the how it came to be:
"The art of quilting is traditionally a collaborative effort and through the magic of a virtual sewing circle this one is no exception. We were introduced to the amazing applique work of Joyce Nichols in a small town and Amish settlement outside of Jamestown, MO. While Joyce typically creates applique scenes of Amish life, she kindly agreed to create quilt blocks from our design of children's silhouettes and diving swallows. An extraordinary quilter in San Jose, CA, Eli Bailey then gathered fabrics to perfectly compliment Joyce's blocks and handcrafted this elegant quilt. Its generous size and light weight allows for easy transition from crib to toddler bed, although you may likely just want to hang it on your child's wall as the focal point of their room." from Mahar Dry Goods

Bon Voyage

Last weekend we took a roadtrip up to Seattle and paid a visit to the Hiram M.Chittenden Locks. It was a beautiful afternoon, there was a concert in the park, and the fish ladder was teeming with sockeye. One of the boats waiting for passage to Lake Union caught our eye:

As huge fans of The Deadliest Catch, this trip was also a good excuse to eat here. (Try the halibut!)

Jezebel

Another discovery from the Stationary Show was Jezebel. Check out their "Gilded Lillies" Collection:
Individual cards, $3.50, box of 7 of a single style, $15.00. Letterpress are $5 per card and $18.00 for a box of 6 of a single style.

Sesame Letterpress

I LOVELOVELOVE letterpress and just fell in love with these cards from Sesame Letterpress when several people wrote about them after the Stationary Show this spring. If I were still living in Minneapolis, one of my goals was to take letterpress classes here. In addition to these charming calling cards, Sesame Letterpress has a stunning collection of wedding invitations, personal notecards and baby announcements like these:

You can learn more about them here at the Sesame Letterpress Flickr page.

Tell Your Story

I came across these wonderful personalized blocks from Storyblox on Cool Mom Picks awhile back and loved them. On two of the sides, your child's name is spelled out in both upper and lowercase letters. That leaves the other four sides that you can fill with whatever (copyright-free) phrases, poems, songs, birth stats, etc., you can come up with and they'll split it up over the series of blocks.

The letters, numbers and symbols are painted on using stencils and a very durable indoor/outdoor, child safe, non-toxic paint. They'll even do custom colors for you. The text is applied toner ink (so no more dangerous than a photo copy). These blocks are VERY durable and will survive most any abuse that doesn't destroy the wood itself.

In addition to these name blocks, they can also make up Promo Blocks for your business, as we did here. People just go nuts for them everytime they see them.

Check out Storyblox today.

We're thrilled to be a part of this exciting event taking place on May 3rd here in Vancouver. Pink Power is about compassionate women from throughout southwest Washington coming together to support health care initiatives for women including building a new Breast Care Center at Southwest Medical Center.

As of this point, tickets are sold out, but you can still make a donation here. We are. In fact, 10% of all our sales during the month of May will be donated to this cause.

If you're in attendance, please stop by our booth at the Crave Party, say hi, and take a look at our new products.

Joyful Living

I discovered Pakhuis Oost ealier today via one of our favorite daily reads, Print and Pattern. Take a look at some of their products:
Blackboards

Pillows

Plates

I'm a sucker for silhouettes, deer, and floral prints individually. Put them together and I'm ready to buy a plane ticket to Belgium to buy some for myself.

They call themselves "the home of joyful living" and I'm sure you'll agree after taking a look at the rest of their products.
