Book Cover Art

Our son has been hard at work on a biography project on Mark Twain and during our research, I came across these new editions of the classics Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer and couldn't resist the watercolor silhouettes on the covers. They were released last month by Vintage Classics in honor of the 100th Anniversary of Mark Twain's death. You can get your copies here. A perfect summer read.

 

Since we're on the topic of book cover art, here's another of my current faves - Lucky Girls by Nell Freudenberger.

We really can't tell you how much we LOVE to get happy customer comments or photos. We always love hearing from you. It meant so much to us that some of you took the time to tell us about the moms and grandmas that got silhouettes for Mother's Day and were moved to tears. Birthday Silhouette

We're loving this cake made by Nicole from Making it Lovely for her daughter Eleanor's first birthday. When we first saw this, we couldn't wait to see how she'd use it. Nicole has a wonderful blog and we've loved the monthly photos taken of Eleanor.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I came across this wonderful papel picado inspired wedding reception invitation on Make Something Happy. It was created by Angela Mattioli Design for a couple that was married in Mexico and later had a reception at home. I love the unique little touches at the bottom like the cupcake and taco, and of course, the silhouettes.
