Ballard Designs

While looking through the new Ballard Designs catalog last week we came across these Silhouette Story Prints.

Each silhouetted image is stenciled on a white background and surrounded in a deep shadow-box frame with black and white floral mat. Composite wood frame features black inset with brushed antique silver edge and glass front. Sold individually for $59.50 or buy the set of 4 for $225.00.

And while you're at at their site, check out these great silhouette pillows on sale now for just $29.99.

Bird in Hand

Kim from Good Stock, a newlywed herself, sent us a link to this wonderful site, Bird and Banner, that created custom silhouettes and a monogram for a bride and groom.

We especially love this cake topper.

Charmed by Cocoa Crayon

We paid a long overdue to one of our favorite online shops the other day - Cocoa Crayon and were excited to see that they had been hard at work developing their own products, in addition to the great selection they already offer. And imagine our delight when we saw Silhouettes.

They're featuring both charm necklaces and bracelets in your choice of gold or silver, and they have an assortment of charms from rubber duckies to pacifiers to silhouettes.

And to top it off, 25% percent of the profits will be donated to children's charities.

Boy Meets Girl

I first discovered Boy Meets Girl a few years ago when I saw one of their great logo t-shirts on a mom at my son's swimming lessons. They've really expanded their collection these days, but still feature these silhouettes on most of their pieces, such as this tunic

and this polo with the embroidered Boy Meets Girl logo.

You can find these items and many more here.

Storybook Silhouettes, an Artisan Crafted Quilt

One of our very favorite shopping sites is Mahar Dry Goods, and of course, our favorite product of theirs (although it is so hard to pick just one) has to be this gorgeous artisan quilt: Here are the details about the how it came to be:
"The art of quilting is traditionally a collaborative effort and through the magic of a virtual sewing circle this one is no exception. We were introduced to the amazing applique work of Joyce Nichols in a small town and Amish settlement outside of Jamestown, MO. While Joyce typically creates applique scenes of Amish life, she kindly agreed to create quilt blocks from our design of children's silhouettes and diving swallows. An extraordinary quilter in San Jose, CA, Eli Bailey then gathered fabrics to perfectly compliment Joyce's blocks and handcrafted this elegant quilt. Its generous size and light weight allows for easy transition from crib to toddler bed, although you may likely just want to hang it on your child's wall as the focal point of their room." from Mahar Dry Goods
