Lisa Congdon

I discovered artist Lisa Congdon's work through her sister's blog and came across these unique library card boxes the other day while perusing Country Living and couldn't resist showing one here:

Here's a self portait of the artist at the age of 5. You can see more of her work and visit her shop here.

Hey Diddle Diddle

Check out these great onesies from Crib Rock Couture, combining classic Mother Goose nursery rhymes and concert posters. They feature onesies and tees to fit everyone from toddler to tween. Here's the onsie from the Cat and the Fiddle's Jumpin the Moon Tour: Another company combining silhouettes and classic nursery rhymes is Goosey Press featuring a collection of charming greeting cards, invitations, and gift wrap. Here's their take on Hey Diddle Diddle:

Tell Your Story

I came across these wonderful personalized blocks from Storyblox on Cool Mom Picks awhile back and loved them. On two of the sides, your child's name is spelled out in both upper and lowercase letters. That leaves the other four sides that you can fill with whatever (copyright-free) phrases, poems, songs, birth stats, etc., you can come up with and they'll split it up over the series of blocks.

The letters, numbers and symbols are painted on using stencils and a very durable indoor/outdoor, child safe, non-toxic paint. They'll even do custom colors for you. The text is applied toner ink (so no more dangerous than a photo copy). These blocks are VERY durable and will survive most any abuse that doesn't destroy the wood itself.

In addition to these name blocks, they can also make up Promo Blocks for your business, as we did here. People just go nuts for them everytime they see them.

Check out Storyblox today.

I first discovered Good Stock last year in the now deceased Child magazine. Each of their handcrafted, personalized books features your family tree, vignettes about family members, and vintage illustrations, and to top it off, you can choose your choice of silhouettes on the cover.

Last time we were in NYC, one place I had to visit was Fishs Eddy. And we certainly didn't leave empty handed. Take a look at these great glasses on sale now:

A value at just $1.98, it's true that Beauty doesn't have to cost a lot.

Pink Power Gone Wild

We're thrilled to be a part of this exciting event taking place on May 3rd here in Vancouver. Pink Power is about compassionate women from throughout southwest Washington coming together to support health care initiatives for women including building a new Breast Care Center at Southwest Medical Center.

As of this point, tickets are sold out, but you can still make a donation here. We are. In fact, 10% of all our sales during the month of May will be donated to this cause.

If you're in attendance, please stop by our booth at the Crave Party, say hi, and take a look at our new products.

Joyful Living

I discovered Pakhuis Oost ealier today via one of our favorite daily reads, Print and Pattern. Take a look at some of their products:
Blackboards

Pillows

Plates

I'm a sucker for silhouettes, deer, and floral prints individually. Put them together and I'm ready to buy a plane ticket to Belgium to buy some for myself.

They call themselves "the home of joyful living" and I'm sure you'll agree after taking a look at the rest of their products.

paper+cup

These cards are from paper+cup, a Brooklyn couple dedicated to creating products that are both functional and fun to use. They've designed some wonderful letterpressed silhouette notecards.

I love these so much. The exuberance of the kids makes them almost jump off the page. They're letterpressed on bright white paper and come with white envelopes. They're sold individually for $4.50 or sold as a box of 10 for $20, including 2 birthday cards.

These Silogirl notecards are gorgeous. The images are letterpressed on bright white paper and come with colored envelopes to match the Silogirl. They can be bought individually for $4.50 or $20 for a box of 10 assorted cards.

paper+cup is set to introduce a line of home and office decor products later this month. I can't wait.
